인스타그램 1위 미란다 커·지지 하디드 제친 에밀리 라타코브스키

인스타그램이 사진과 동영상을 24시간만 공유하는 ‘인스타그램 스토리’ 기능을 도입한지 1년을 맞아 지난주 가장 인기 있는 인물과 브랜드를 발표했다.
 
인스타그램이 발표한 ‘조회수가 가장 많은 유명인사, 브랜드 랭킹’ 데이터에서 세계적 SNS 스타인 카라 델비뉴나 지지 하디드를 누르고 1위에 오른 사람은 모델 에밀리 라타코브스키였다. 그의 인스타그램 팔로워는 약 1400만명. 그의 스타일리시한 수영복 사진과 휴일 모습을 촬영한 순간들을 모은 스토리가 시선을 끌었고, 이것이 재생횟수로 연결됐다고 인스타 측은 밝혔다.

 

 

 영국 출신의 에밀리 라타코브스키는 1991년 6월7일생. 올해 26세다. 14세 때 모델 활동을 시작해 GQ, 보그, 코스모폴리탄 등 각종 잡지 표지를 장식했다. 그는 모델뿐만 아니라 배우로도 활동했다. 2014년 벤 애플렉 주역의 ‘나를 찾아줘(Gone Girl)’로 영화에 데뷔, 이듬해 잭 에프론 주연의 ‘위 아 유어 프렌즈(We are your friends)’에 출연했다

 

에밀리 라타이코프스키는 잉글랜드 런던에서 잉글랜드 출신의 교수인 어머니와 "페미니스트와 지식인"을 쓴 폴란드 출신의 작가 아버지 사이에서 태어났다. 그녀는 미국 캘리포니아 주 엔시니타스에서 자랐다. 어린 시절에 유럽에 많은 나라들에서 살아보고 여행해봤으며, 특히 아일랜드 밴트리와 스페인 마요르카 섬에서 많은 시간을 보냈다. 그녀의 부모는 예술가이기도 했다.

라타이코프스키는 14살 나이에 포드 모델스와 계약했고 샌디에이고에 있는 고등학교(샌디에이고 공립 샌디에귀토 아카데미)를 계속해서 다녔지만 로스엔젤레스에서 모델 생활을 하였다. 그녀는 미술 전공으로 UCLA에 1년간 다녔지만, 그 당시는 그녀가 그녀의 인생을 모델로서의 삶을 결정하기로 하던 때였다.

 

 

재미있는 것은 인스타그램 등 SNS에 올린 노출사진으로 회자되고 있는 에밀리. 그의 프로필엔 어김없이 “정치문제에 관심이 많다”는 내용이 포함된다는 것.에밀리는 “나의 프로필에 ‘섹스 심벌’이라는 것과 함께 ‘정치 문제에 관심이 많고, 관련 정보를 갖고 있다”는 내용이 동시에 올라가 있다. 이를 어색하게 바라보는 건 분명 선입견이고 남녀차별이다. 왜 이 두가지는 공존할 수 없는가”라고 반문한다.

Emily O'Hara Ratajkowski[3] (/ˌrætəˈkaʊski/;[4] born June 7, 1991)[5] is an American model and actress. Born to American parents in London and raised primarily in California, she rose to prominence in 2013 after appearing in the music video for Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines", which became the number one song of the year in several countries and attracted controversy over its purportedly sexist content.

Ratajkowski appeared on the cover of the March 2012 issue of the erotic magazine treats!, which led to her being asked to appear in two music videos – "Blurred Lines" and Maroon 5's "Love Somebody". She appeared in the 2014 and 2015 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues. Ratajkowski made her professional runway modeling debut for Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week in 2015 and has since walked on the Paris Fashion Week runway for Miu Miu. She appeared in a Buick Super Bowl commercial during Super Bowl 50.

Ratajkowski began acting as a child in the San Diego area before she gained a recurring role on the Nickelodeon series iCarly and later roles in major films. Her feature film debut was as the mistress of Ben Affleck's character in the 2014 film Gone Girl. Ratajkowski's other roles have included the films Entourage and We Are Your Friends (her first leading role) as well as the miniseries The Spoils Before Dying and the anthology series Easy.

Ratajkowski is an advocate for women's health issues as a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood and supports the right of women to express their sexuality. Her claim to being a feminist has been both supported and disputed
